Product Description

The IC693CPU313 is a 5-slot base with an embedded “Turbo” CPU for GE Fanuc Series 90-30 systems—ideal for compact machines that need fast boolean performance with minimal risk in legacy environments. It uses an Intel 80188 at 10 MHz, achieving a typical 0.6 ms per 1K boolean contacts scan. User program capacity is 12 KB (earlier firmware releases provided 6 KB); register memory is 1024 words. The base supports up to 160 discrete inputs and 160 discrete outputs (combined limit) and offers one built-in serial port (accessed at the power-supply connector) supporting SNP/SNP-X slave protocols. Backplane load is ~430 mA @ +5 VDC. No battery-backed clock or interrupt capability is provided on this CPU. Programming is typically done with Proficy Machine Edition (Logic Developer – PLC), with import paths from legacy Logicmaster 90 projects. Floating-point math is not supported on CPU313; choose higher CPUs if you require it. Typical uses: like-for-like replacements, small sequencing tasks, upgrading from CPU311 for faster scan without changing field wiring, staged modernization toward newer platforms while keeping existing I/O.

Frequent asked questions

What software should I use to program the IC693CPU313?

Proficy Machine Edition (Logic Developer – PLC) is the standard tool; legacy Logicmaster 90 projects can be migrated into Proficy.

How do I physically connect for programming/monitoring?

Use the built-in serial path via the power-supply 15-pin connector (SNP/SNP-X slave). An appropriate RS-485 interface/converter is required.

Does the CPU313 support floating-point math or interrupts?

Floating-point math is not supported on CPU313; interrupts are also not available. Consider higher 90-30 CPUs if you need these features
