Product Description

The Honeywell Analytics XNX Universal Transmitter is a versatile platform that brings common wiring, displays and protocols to a wide range of gas sensors—ideal for upgrades, mixed-sensor plants, and standardized maintenance. Choose from electrochemical (EC) for toxic/O₂, infrared (IR) for hydrocarbons/CO₂, or catalytic bead for LEL monitoring. A large local display and magnetic-key menu simplify setup in classified areas. Selection quick tips Gas & sensor: pick EC / IR / catalytic by target gas and environment. I/O & protocols: standard 4–20 mA (sink/source); add HART or Modbus RTU for diagnostics/SCADA. Relays: optional 3× SPDT for local alarms/shutdown. Enclosure: aluminum (cost-effective) or 316L stainless (corrosive/ offshore). Approvals: choose ATEX/IECEx/UL-cUL variants to match your region and area classification. Compatibility: XNX interfaces with Honeywell point/open-path sensors(model-dependent),enabling mixed fleets on one platform. Price & availability (what drives cost) Sensor technology, enclosure material, protocol/relay options, and regional approvals determine price and lead time. Tell us the gas, range, protocol, and enclosure—we’ll quote common configurations fast. Manuals & datasheets We provide install, wiring and calibration documents (quick links on request). Typical guidance covers mounting height, flow/ventilation considerations, and bump-test/calibration intervals.

Su guía de preguntas frecuentes sobre Honeywell XNX Universal Transmitter — Fixed Gas Detection Platform

Which sensors and gases does XNX support?

XNX is a platform: EC for toxic/O₂, IR for hydrocarbons/CO₂, and catalytic bead for LEL. Select the cartridge/remote sensor for your gas, range and environment.

What communications are available?

Standard 4–20 mA (sink/source) with optional HART. Many variants add RS-485 Modbus RTU for SCADA integration and diagnostics.

Can I use XNX in classified (hazardous) areas?

Yes—choose the approved variant (ATEX/IECEx or UL-cUL). Enclosures are available in aluminum or 316L stainless for harsh sites.

Do I need relays if I already have a DCS/PLC?

Not always. Relays are convenient for local horns/shutdowns; if the loop goes to a PLC/ESD via 4–20 mA/Modbus, relays may be optional.

How often should I calibrate?

Follow site policy and the sensor’s datasheet. Typical practice: frequent bump tests and periodic calibration based on gas, environment and regulatory requirements.
