Product Description

The ABB S201 is the 1-pole member of the System pro M compact S200 range for final distribution. It combines a thermal element (overload) and a magnetic element (short-circuit). Choose B/C/D curves to match inrush behavior and select the rated current from common values (e.g., 6–63 A). Typical IEC breaking capacity for S200 is up to 6 kA; for higher fault levels use S200M / S200P families. The S201 supports ABB’s bottom-fitting auxiliaries (OF/SD, shunt, UVT), multi-function comb busbars, and standard 35 mm DIN-rail mounting.

How do I choose B/C/D curves?

resistive/low-inrush loads. C: mixed & small motors. D: high-inrush (transformers, large motors). Always coordinate with upstream devices.

What if my fault level exceeds 6 kA?

Use ABB S200M/S200P high-breaking versions or ensure upstream current-limiting so the S201’s Icn is not exceeded.

Are UL versions available?

S201 is the IEC family. For UL1077 supplementary protectors see ST201M (ST200M family). Do not mix families—match your market standard.
